Every year, iOS developers eagerly wait for this mega event and this year is no exception. Adrenaline runs high among developers as an event comes near, and their expectations gear up. From many of these expectations and a lot of hype regarding event, let us look out some of them:
- Future versions of Apple Watch: As Apple Watch starts coming to the hands of users across the world; its new variant along with iOS 9 is worth watching. Big upgrade in the future versions can allow developers to get direct access to many sensors for developing high quality native apps for smartwatch.
- Beta tools to test native apps: Apple has already said that an Apple Watch update will come in this fall that allows native apps. Developers are looking for an announcement regarding beta tools for testing such native apps in this event. Native app SDK and enhanced third-party support are also expected for Apple Watch.
- HomeKit accessories: HomeKit is one of the most ambitious projects of Apple addressing IoT concept. Some of the companies will come forward with HomeKit compatible smart home appliances in the event. In this case, it is better for developers if Apple shed light on HomeKit accessories.

- iCloud Drive for Android: Upgrade in iCloud drive facility for storage is due as Google has recently offered unlimited photo storage. Also, an iCloud upgrade would be highly appreciated by a huge developers’ community if it embraces other platforms. For example, Apple should allow its users to upload photos directly to iCloud Drive from Android devices.
However, expectations may get differ from one to another developer, but we can broadly say that expectations mentioned above are more common among them. Let us wait till June 8, 2015, and see whether or not Apple fulfill our expectations.
